What we're NOT drinking tonight. Ever: Bowser Beer

Bowser Beer, Low Cal Beer for Dogs, 12-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 6)
Bowser Beer is available in
Beefy Ale or  Cock-A-Doodle Brew.
Bowser Beer has no alcohol, no hops and no malt. And it costs $16 a 6-pack. So what's the appeal? Certainly nothing for us. Luckily for the bottler, we're not their target market. Yes, Bowser Beer is a "low-cal beer for dogs." And if you read the ingredient list on Amazon, it's not beer at all, but instead either chicken or beef broth in fancy bottles. Some people will buy anything for their mutts.

We wish we'd though of it first.

Click the "Read more" link below to see a video review of Bowser Beer as well as something from the Amazon product page we found rather humorous.

Beermingham helps you keep tabs on the growler scene

Now that the word is getting out about growlers in Birmingham (even The Birmingham News has discovered it!), you might find that yesterday's source of Fatso has dried up.
Beermingham wants to help simplify your search for spectacular beer. Regular readers of Beermingham (yes, both of you), will notice five new tabs at the top of the blog. Click on one of the four growler-serving beer stores and you get a list of what's currently on tap and a Google map to guide your way. Soon we'll add a little more information and, hopefully, prettify it a little more. But we hope to keep the pages simple for faster loading on your mobile device.
Each list is dated to indicate the last time it was updated. We hope to keep them very current, but if you see one with a stale born-on-date, fee free to email us a reminder. We're also open to improvement suggestions. Got an idea? Send it along, we'd love to hear it.
